For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. - Rom. 6:14. Being under grace - the Lordship of Jesus Christ does NOT mean you are free to commit lawlessness. Rather it means that you are FREE from sin. And this freedom from sin comes as a result of the grace of God. God enables you to overcome all sin. Due to hardness of heart many continue to sin thinking that "not under the law" gives a "license" to sin. NO, NO, NO "Not under the law but under grace" means that we have the grace and God's enablement to overcome all sin. Yes - ALL sin. Don't let the devil deceive you. God gives you the ability to overcome sin. God even commands us: "Be ye holy because I am Holy." 1 Peter 1:16. And whatever God commands - He enables and gives us the grace to do.
