Dream Shatter

Autor Jean Pearce Edwards
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 20 iun 2007
Once more Nadine Kemal's peaceful existence in the quiet village of Oxted, is shattered when ghosts from her past come back to haunt her. Her life is threatened and all those people dear to her come under attack by a fanatical stranger. It begins while she is on holiday in South Africa with an assault on Luka, her husband. When they go to Victoria Falls she is almost killed. They come to realise that, Hendrik, an evil young man, believes that Nadine is to blame for his father Max's death. The first time Luka sees this man, Hendrik, he thinks it is the ghost of Max Van Brooten who was drowned fifteen years previously. Worse is to come, Hendrik has a twin sister, Jana, and together they plot to kill Nadine, Luka, Joe and their whole family. Joe alerts interpol and Nicholas Armitage wasts no time flying to Zimbabwe to investigate; he is the detective whose sister Jenny was murdered by Max and Jake Van Brooten; Jake was never caught. Nicholas has become disillusioned after years of working in M16 and old memories are awakened. He had loved Nadine but lost her to Luka. When he meets Nadine again Nicholas is in for a huge shock; something which is bound to alter his hackneyed life. This blast from her past opens a huge can of worms for Nadine and her family and none of their lives will be the same again. The twins follow Nadine to England and terrifying events unfold. Hendrik Van Brooten is an unhinged sexual predator who has no morals at all. Nadine has to try to hold her family together whilst scandal rears its ugly head and violent deeds threaten to destroy them all. Although a sequel to Dreamkill, this novel stands alone.
