Every child is different; and every child has problems at school. Gabrielle has had problems at school for as long as she can remember. Her adoptive parents are kind to her, and their money means she wants for nothing. However, most of the time, their money is all she sees. She often has dreams about her real mother, sees her vividly, and hears her whisper words of encouragement. Half way through the conversation, Garrett reveals that he knows all about her supernatural powers, and he is willing to help her. Skeptical and untrusting, she is only willing to take a step forward because of his warm smile. He reveals his limp is a byproduct of black magic gone wrong, the demons and devils he had to cope with; he wants to help her discover her true story, the horror of it all.
