Zan realizes that the price for defeating Cowardice was to have Ayumi's memories of him erased. He is initially devastated however, Ayumi's family convinces him to create new memories with Ayumi. As Zan realizes the depth of his love for Ayumi, he decides to join her in battling nightmares by accepting initiation into Dream Knighthood. However, another sinister force pulls the strings behind his initiation. To make matters worse, this sinister force knows a secret about his past that can destroy his future and eventually lead to the destruction of Dreams and Reality.
