Recenzii

This text has the right amount of breadth and depth for an introductory and possibly a mid-level course. I think there is a good balance of the history, societal issues, and pharmacology.
Martha's writing style is refreshingly unique, and her genuine interest in the field is very evident.
It's an accessible text that not only focuses on biological effects of drugs and addiction, but the societal and human impacts of drug use as well. Students will not only learn the material but also valuable lessons that they will use in their own life.
