Their journals, articles, manuscripts, letters and books have been translated and compiled for the first time in this new book by Jan Krijff and Herman Ganzevoort. This new material adds to the travel stories already known from French and English travellers of the time. The tale from one of the crew of an Arctic expedition provides another dimension to the stories of discovery and travel for pleasure.
