The psychological trauma of the female genital mutilation I passed through was still hunting my poor being. I couldn't speak to anyone, my mum made me swear an oath of secrecy to that effect; it was a family secret, actually mummy and daughter secret. I wish I could help matters but gradually my happiness was eroded. The pains were gone but the scar will forever remain.
