Echoes in the Mist

The year 1878 finds Greece swarming with Western archaeologists who are excavating the treasures of ancient times and shipping them out of the country amid regional upheaval and political intrigue.

Julia, an American arriving in Piraeus, is thrilled to fulfill her lifelong dream of excavating on the Acropolis-though her enthusiasm is tempered by the loss of her father, a noted authority on classical Greek pottery, during the voyage.

Meanwhile, on the dock, Stephano is informed by a man in the shadows that the courier for whom he is waiting died onboard...and the information he was carrying cannot be found.

Unbeknownst to Julia, her father was a spy for the Turks-and what he was bringing over to Greece could prove deadly if it fell into the wrong hands.

And while Stephano wants nothing to do with Western archaeologists, it is his destiny to become entangled with Julia as he and his fellow freedom fighters do what it takes to protect their country.

Despite the danger she suddenly finds herself in, Julia refuses to give up on her dreams-even as she and Stephano experience a connection that feels like an echo from the past.
