Juan Manuel Matés-Barco, Ph.D. in History (1997), University of Granada, is Professor of Economic and Business History at the University of Jaen. Director of the journal Agua y Territorio/Water and Landscape. Head Researcher of the Group of Historical Studies on Enterprise (Grupo de Estudios Históricos sobre la Empresa).
María Vázquez-Fariñas, Ph.D. in Social and Legal Sciences (2017), University of Cadiz, is Lecturer in Economic History at the University of Malaga. She has published on the economic and business history of 19th-century Cadiz and the development of public services in contemporary Spain.
