Peter C. Cropsey's "Dead Man Waking" introduced us to Eddie Wilkins, the heroin addict, criminal lowlife, punk in a tattoo suit, and revealed how even a scumbag like him has a heart-and hope for restoration.

"Eddie" continues the desperate man's story as he sets out on a spiritual journey, with challenge after challenge stacked against him. While many conversion stories end with someone recognizing and accepting Christ, Eddie's account reminds us that there is still a long road ahead and many discouraging setbacks to overcome.

Follow Eddie as he returns to his old life and struggles to share his newfound hope with his friends, while still feeling the claws of addiction. As he tries to navigate the lies that have kept him trapped for years guided by the truth he's only recently learned, everything and everyone seem to be working against him.

Can Eddie be freed from his past once and for all? Will God save his friends, too? Or are they all doomed to a miserable existence because of the bad choices they've made?
