ANGEL holds the Leo L. and Joan Laskoff Professorship in Economics, Technology, and the Environment at Clark University./e His specialty is economic geography, and his research interests focus on issues of industrial restructuring and technological change.PATRICK G. DERR is Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Program in Ethics and Public Policy at Clark University./e He is a member of the Hazards Research Group at the Center for Technology, Environment and Development and writes on occupational and environmental hazards, history and philosophy of science, and health care.
