EI and Alexithymia: Implications in Indian Organisations

Autor Atri Sengupta
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 27 apr 2012
Lord Krishna in Bhagabad Gita suggested individuals to practice 'Sthitaprajjna' and 'Chitta Samatta' -- the way of balancing rationality & emotionality to win over. Mind is the sole power of human being. It will act accordingly the way one will feed it. Integrating logic and emotions to respond to the situational demand is crucial in effective decision making. This leads to success in professional as well as personal lives. Some individuals, on the other hand, are found to be emotionally dumb in this world of emotions. They are unable to deal with emotions properly. They are known as alexithymics. The book focuses on the implications of emotional intelligence and alexithymia on decision making in Indian organisations.
