Notă biografică
Amy L. Young träumte schon als Kind nicht von einem Einhorn, sondern von einer Karriere als Illustratorin. Trotzdem brauchte es einige Umwege, bis es so weit war. Sie arbeitete als Kellnerin und Küchenhilfe, auf dem Bau, in der Landwirtschaft und als Aushilfslehrerin. Seit 1995 ist sie freiberufliche Illustratorin in Vollzeit.
