Textul de pe ultima copertă
Teresa of Avila, the sixteenth-century Spanish mystic, teaches you how to explore the interior castle that is your spiritual home. Room by room while praying, Teresa helps you explore these questions: Who is God? How can I communicate with God? and How can I shape my life so intentionally that I might embrace God? Dwight Judy is Teresa's assistant in this spiritual adventure, for he uses a variety of charts and exercises to help you inhabit your interior castle through prayer and meditation. Embracing God goes far beyond inspirational books on prayer; it requires a level of commitment to the spiritual life that is mature and deep. Teresa's approach will appeal to seasoned, introspective Christians, especially those who lead and nurture others who seek a greater intimacy with God.
Descriere
A book about meditation that shows readers how to nourish their souls, this work first looks at the life and principles of the Spanish Carmelite nun, Teresa of Avila (1515-1582), one of history's great mystics. It then examines Teresa's spiritual development along with the concepts and practices she developed to communicate with God through prayer and meditation.
