Recenzii
"Alcohol use is often motivated by a desire to alter one’s emotions. Sometimes this involves decreasing negative emotions. At other times, this involves increasing positive emotions. In this important book, the authors draw on the latest research on emotion regulation to provide a valuable new treatment approach for alcohol use disorders, namely emotion regulation therapy. This clinically insightful volume is a must for anyone interested in treating alcohol use disorders."
James Gross, PhD, professor of psychology, Stanford University
"Emotion Regulation Treatment of Alcohol Use Disorders provides an engaging description of the rationale for focusing on emotion regulation and an informative, step-by-step guide to implementing Emotion Regulation Treatment in clinical practice. Emotion Regulation Treatment incorporates numerous components that are evidence-based practices for addiction, including exposure exercises, coping-skills training, and training in mindfulness skills. This book is a ‘must have’ for working with individuals who struggle with emotion regulation difficulties and alcohol use disorder."
