Recenzii
.this guide is recommended for academic libraries requiring more detailed, scholarly information on specific animals and for the bibliography provided for each animal.
This collection explores the multiple issues that surround species declines and conservation efforts through the only reference source to examine the conflicting conservation issues of 49 endangered species. While the causes of endangerment are relatively easy to understand, the ultimate or underlying factors are far more complex and difficult to address.
Useful for students researching a particular animal, Endangered Animals also gives an excellent look at the challenges of species preservation and the many ways in which groups and individuals are working, and often struggling, to succeed.
.useful to students and others interested in the study of endangered species, particularly from a policy viewpoint that considers aspects of social, economic, and political issues. It is recommended for high school and academic library collections.
This volume will be extremely useful in academic libraries, and most public libraries will also need a copy.
The writing is scholarly and may prove too technical for the average elementary school student who may be involved in researching one of the species. This is more suited for high school or adult users.
