I no doubt adored Evie for her stubbornness, determination, courage, and courage, and for the determination that she would not be trampled underfoot and enslaved by anyone. The action is quite linear, with no twists and turns and without any element that would take you by surprise, which has ruined the pleasure of reading. The main conflict is resolved very easily in the end and it seemed a bit hurried, as if the author wanted to end it all as soon as possible. I'm not sorry that I read it, I wanted to end the story and finish reading the series.
