Notă biografică

Veronica Bonsignori holds a PhD in English Linguistics and carries out research at the Department of Philology, Literature and Linguistics at the University of Pisa, where she teaches English Language and Linguistics and where she has a scholarship as a temporary researcher. Her research interests are in the fields of pragmatics, sociolinguistics and audiovisual translation. She has published several articles on audiovisual translation in national and international collections, focusing on the transposition of linguistic varieties in Italian dubbing, including "The Transposition of Cultural Identity of Desi/Brit-Asian in Italian Dubbing", and the study of linguistic phenomena pertaining to orality in English filmic speech in comparison to Italian dubbing, as in the article she co-authored with Silvia Bruti and Silvia Masi "Exploring Greetings and Leave-Takings in Original and Dubbed Language".
