He is co-editor (with Paul du Plessis) of two successful volumes in the Edinburgh Studies in Law Series published by Edinburgh University Press: Beyond Dogmatics: Law and Society in the Roman World (2007) and The Creation of the Ius Commune: From Casus to Regula (2010).
