Entheos

en Limba Engleză Paperback

Entheos, "God within" is a collection of personal reflections for the introspective person inquiring about the great questions of life, our purpose, the meaning of life, the universe, existence and other concepts that ultimately cause the reader to look within for the answers. The premise is that we seek the presence of "God" everywhere but within. The messages are delivered in poems, short stories and narratives about the writings.

The Author writes about his personal experiences while in a federal prison where he served a two year sentence. While not making that experience the defining event in his life, it serves as a platform for many of the personal reflections and poems including "I Fagio" (I Fly ); "Memento Mori" (Remember, we all must die); "Veritas" (Truth) and "Enclave," an account of his approaching release from prison. Other writings reflect on his relationship with his father and his thoughts upon his death (Gathaspa) and "spiritually listening" to a woman he saw on a bus in Seattle, (Seattle Woman).

A Foreward by renowned artist, Albert Handell and illustrations by accomplished artist Jeanine Christman Handell punctuate this wonderful work.

A challenging body of work, it may require multiple readings and study.

The author is a native New Mexican whose Spanish ancestors arrived in "La Tierra Adentro de la Nueva Mexico," (The Land of the Interior of the New Mexico) in the early 1600's. He has an eclectic background which includes business, mentoring youth (including many in prison), instruction in a Lyceum format and authorship.

Notă biografică

Vincent was born in the pastoral village of Tome, New Mexico, a village 25 miles south of Albuquerque, New Mexico. His Spanish ancestors settled in the area in the early 1600's and were among the first settlers in Albuquerque's Old Town where he was raised. Brought up in the old ways of hard physical labor, he and his brothers made adobe bricks alongside their father through the summer months starting work at 4am and working until 8pm Monday through Saturday. The rest of the year was busy with Catholic school training under the tutelage of the Sisters of Charity and Jesuit priests, more hard labor after school and rising at 5:30 every morning to ring the old fashioned church bell to call people to Mass at 6am every morning where he served as an altar boy. In business for himself since the age of 18, Vincent has been involved in business ventures as diverse as real estate development, commercial finance, acquisitions and divestitures, translations and negotiating settlements for adverse parties. He is widely considered a highly skilled negotiator who utilizes the finely honed art and science of inquiry and listening to reach settlements. It was a decision regarding a loan transaction that resulted in a two year federal prison sentence for which he accepted full responsibility.Vincent has mentored hundreds of people from a personal growth perspective and in business. He continues to mentor today and mentored several people while in prison. His forthcoming books include:Becoming The Total BeingFree Will and Determinism. Confluence or Conflict?Negotiating from Compassion. If you would like to ask Vincent a question or contribute to his blog, such as your idea or interpretation of a particular writing, please do so at vincent@lightofmind.us
