The book is a research monograph on the entrepreneurial aspects of Sivakasi, a town in the southern part of Tamilnadu, India and globally famous for its industries such as Matchworks, Firework and Printing. The book records the entrepreneurial phenomena displayed by the people that made the town an industrial cluster with more than three thousand industrial units pertaining to the above industries from nowhere a century back. The study explores the genesis of entrepreneurship in Sivakasi, the renowned pioneers and their contribution in the development of a cultural legacy that facilitated industrialisation. It further delineates on the factors that were contributing for the continuum of entrepreneurship by taking contemporary entrepreneurs as research sample. This book further analyses empirically the Socio-demographic pattern, the reasons for preferring entrepreneurial career and the support provided by the society that helps to sustain the spirit of entrepreneurship. It also touches upon few problems faced in their business endeavour. The book gives a holistic picture on the genesis and continuum of entrepreneurship of the study area.

The author, born at Nagercoil,Tamilnadu,India on February 01,1974 is a graduate in chemistry and then had his MBA. He obtained his PhD From Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in Tirunelveli District. He is serving both academia and industry for the past 15 years. He is a good trainer & consultant to entrepreneurs and published few papers of repute.
