In education sector, European Union funds are among the most discussed and debated issues in Turkey. School administrators, teachers and even students want to take advantage of grant opportunities, but majority of them do not have necessary information on where or how to start. The European Union funds offer attractive opportunities for schools, administrators, teachers and students. The use of these opportunities is a priority task for the school administrators and teachers. The European Union funding budget is determined periodically. As of in 2015, we are in the period of 2014-2020. The funding budget covering all sectors including education is over 900 billion Euros in this period. The European Union's Erasmus + budget for 2014-2020 period is 14.7 billion Euros, Turkey's share is 4.5 billion Euros, and 700 million Euros of which is devoted to the Erasmus +.
