Harvey Araton ist seit 1991 Sportkolumnist bei der New York Times, für die er über zehn Olympische Spiele und zahlreiche NBA-Finals, World Series, Super Bowls und Final Fours berichtet hat. 2017 wurde Araton von der Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame mit dem Curt Gowdy Media Award geehrt. Er ist Autor verschiedener Bücher, darunter When the Garden Was Eden und Driving Mr. Yogi.
