Set in Springfield, Arkansas mid to late 1800's post -civil war era. A community, turned upside down by events of the Civil War, is dealing with more than just death and loss. Lives and laws have changed, catapulting the small town of Springfield, Arkansas into a new era of freedoms and doubt. Once a Southern stronghold of white landowners, they try to rebuild and reclaim what they rightfully see as their own, but there are questions...unsettled questions that will further divide the struggling town. . Their lives are broken and casted away on land that seems cursed with ghost, famine and unseasonable weather.

On the outskirts of Springfield, a plantation house Culver Tusk has survived the war but the ensuing debate over who legally and morally owns the property may send the townspeople back into a period of violence and unrest.
