Recenzii
Certainly, Essentials of Developmental Plant Anatomy would be a great addition to the bookshelves of both students and scientists interested in plant anatomy.
Essentials of Developmental Plant Anatomy is very timely. The book is not overwhelmed with minutiae but deals only with essential points in the anatomy and development of embryos, stems, leaves, reproductive structures and roots to make a coherent whole.
This book will be a welcome addition in the teaching of plant biology, especially developmental plant anatomy. I feel this book will appeal to the "modern" plant biology students, as it is not overly burdened with terminology and succinctly written. I believe this book will capture students' imagination and will encourage students to seek further information when needed. It will serve both as a guide and a reference. In fact, I will use this as a text for my class.
The text is very well written and the logical flow that is used through the different chapters enhances understanding of the various processes and structures being described. The authors are to be congratulated for their clarity of presentation and for their approach.
Essentials of Developmental Plant Anatomy is extremely well written and achieves its aims admirably; it provides fundamental information on plant structure and development to students at the introductory level, and it acts as resource material to researchers working in nearly all areas of plant biology.
