Public țintă
- quantity surveying students
NB: Although the subject forms a subject on degree courses in Quantity Surveying, mainly at undergraduate level and also on some postgraduate conversion courses, estimating receives very little teaching input. What is usually provided is an overview with little teaching of the technical competencies.
- The RICs consider estimating to be a core technical competence
- Estimating is a core module on all Quantity Surveying degree courses
- Many former Commonwealth countries have developed their own rules of measurement, based on UK practices. However there is an expectation that the New Rules of Measurement will have a much wider appeal than the UK alone. There is an opportunity for countries around the world to unite in adopting a single set of rules for the measurement of building works.
