Ethics & International Affairs: A Reader

Published with the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, this collection contains of some of the best contemporary scholarship on ethics and foreign policy. The chapters explore the connection between moral traditions and topics such as war and reconciliation, just war, global economic justice, and human rights. Each author relates the timeless insights of philosophy and our collective historical experience to the hard choices of our own age.

This third edition will contain nineteen chapters that were previously published in the Carnegie Council's journal, Ethics & International Affairs. Eighteen of the chapters were not in the second edition. The book also contains a new preface. This volume should be of special interest to those working and teaching in international relations, human rights, diplomatic history, applied ethics, and related fields.
