Elizabeth Drayson, Ph.D. (1983), Emeritus Fellow in Spanish at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge. She has published widely on medieval and early modern Spanish literature and cultural history, including The Moor’s Last Stand: How seven centuries of Muslim rule in Spain came to an end (Profile Books, 2017), one of The Times and Sunday Times best history books of 2017, and Lost Paradise: the story of Granada (Head of Zeus, 2021).
