Although the concept of Smart Cities has become extremely popular in recent years as an effort to improve the quality of life, it is not fully developed yet. Popula-tion growth in the city must be managed while ensuring a safe and sustainable environment. The dynamics of change have rapidly increased in 2019/2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has spread across nu-merous cities worldwide since its debut in late 2019, killing more than 3.9 million people and wreaking on the economy. The pandemic struck at a critical point in history when smart solutions and technology became mainstream in many countries. The challenges for cities seem to be getting increased. A Solution has to be found to the population growth in cities and the preservation of a sustainable ecological and safe living space in the city. However, it is hard to find an effective way to develop sustainable cities. The Smart City Initiatives are taking up this challenge and driving change in cities.
