A sadistic serial killer is on the loose, carving up the mean streets of Chicago one body at a time. The problem is...they're all dead. Private Investigator Everett Holmes, great-grandson of the infamous Sherlock Holmes, is a man who has been dealing with his own personal demons for years. His incessant drug and alcohol abuse has only increased since solving a case that would make even the most seasoned investigator beg for mercy. This however, was just the tip of the ice berg. Everett's true struggle is his inner competition against a long line of Holmes men that had taken the law enforcement world by storm for generations. It was a competition he feared he would never win. When Everett's friend Max McQueen, the lead investigator in the Forged Fingerprint Killer case asks for his help, he grabs onto the investigation as if it was his only hope for redemption, a subconscious life-line. Soon, he will be taken into the dark mind of a psychopath, and will live a sick, twisted serialistic nightmare by which the only escape will be to break the life long bond of a brother.
