Notă biografică
Herman Stewart is the founder and CEO of Every Child Needs a Mentor. He is a pioneering, award-winning mentor, an author, speaker, strategist, volunteer and a passionate campaigner for young people. Herman was a mentor for 20 years before he launched Every Child Needs a Mentor in May 2013. Herman and his team support school leaders internationally, using mentoring, training and inspirational speaking and resources to improve the well-being of children, parents, and staff. It has a highly structured and evidence-based approach, equipping schools to monitor the progression of every child, and it is a leader in using mentoring to enable 'every child' in a chosen year group to have a mentor. Herman is regularly invited to speak to and inspire groups including, Cambridge University, Oxford and Harvard alumni, school associations, senior civil servants and numerous head teacher conferences. He has worked with many organisations nationally and internationally, including government, businesses and education establishments. He was the city of Birmingham's lead mentor; his work has been rated as 'High Quality' by Ofsted and his RAMP - Raising Achievement Mentoring Programme - received a Leading Aspect Award for closing the achievement gap. He contributed to the Department for Work & Pensions thinking around policy, influenced a White Paper on social inclusion and presented his findings before a Key Line of Enquiry committee for young people. As well as being a Chair of Governors of an outstanding Academy, he is a Trustee of the Board of Victoria Academies Trust and a Leadership Fellow at St Georges College, Windsor Castle.
