Natalie Evans (Author)
Naomi and Natalie Evans are award-winning writers, educators and speakers based in the UK. They run an educational Instagram account that has more than 200k followers, as well as being highly sort out anti-racism educators.
Naomi and Natalie are both of Black Jamaican and White British heritage. In May 2020 a video of Natalie went viral on twitter when she confronted two men racially abusing a ticket conductor. They decided to set up an anti-racism platform on Instagram, @everydayracism_ (EDR), which has more than 120k followers. The page shares stories from BIPOC and educational posts focusing on how to be anti-racist.
Natalie has more than 10 years of event management experience, including hosting and presenting in front of large audiences as well as being a youth worker for nearly 12 years. She now works for EDR full time.
Naomi and Natalie are the authors of the non-fiction book, The Mixed-Race Experience (Penguin). They have written articles for Red magazine, Grazia and have been featured in the "i" newspaper for their anti-racism work. They have also contributed essays to two young adult books entitled "Teenage Armageddon" and "Allies", which has been selected as the World Book Day title for 2023. Naomi and Natalie are committed to empowering people to make a difference in the world. They are natural communicators who believe education and action is the fundamental route to stopping social injustice. Their aim is to help dismantle systemic racism by empowering BIPOC and teaching white folk how to use their privilege for change.
