Everyday Discernment

Autor Gregg Chenoweth
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 11 apr 2021
We need a God who guides, right now, in real time, through the decisions and challenges of our lives. The apostle Paul did too. Like us, he never met the material Jesus and had to cultivate what he called a "competence" for being guided by God in the Spirit. This practice became so central to his life that he told the church in Corinth he should be remembered as a "steward of the mysteries of God." As leaders, we can learn the art of Spirit-led discernment too. We must.

In Everyday Discernment, author Gregg Chenoweth uses Scripture, a variety of resources, and a wealth of professional experience to demonstrate the key ways that Christian leaders can access the Holy Spirit's guidance to discern God's truth in the mysteries of everyday experience. There is no magic formula and no code to decipher-we need only a willingness to see the divine behind the ordinary and to be guided by the Holy Spirit. Everyday Discernment uses real-life examples to show how accessing and stewarding the mysteries of God is a matter of consistent faith, prayer, and habit. Each chapter closes with useful tips leaders can implement to practice living and working by the Spirit.
