A Princeton University Professor goes on a mission to prove or disprove the existence of small humanoid creatures. After travelling to a distant and lost island he is soon plunged into a subterranean world which is home to many novel species. He encounters small beings that can best be described as fairies. Alas all is not well in this forgotten paradise. He is forced to make uncomfortable decisions in love and war.
