Faith Is a Verb

Born Lorraine Sandra Ferebee and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Lorraine graduated from Westmoreland-Davis International Equestrian Institute at Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia, in 1986 and was soon certified by the American Riding Instructor Certification Program. After graduation she traveled throughout the US with Sally Swift, author of Centered Riding. Lorraine completed the four-year teacher training program at the Alexander Foundation in Philadelphia, becoming an Alexander Technique Teacher. She also completed a two-year study of Feldenkrais(R) Awareness Through Movement.Saundra combined these three disciplines and created a unique semester-long syllabus and curriculum: Classical Riding and the Alexander Technique, which was published in Dressage Today, July 2001. She taught this class at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, for several years while continuing to travel throughout the US and abroad, teaching three- and four-day Centered Riding clinics.While living in New York City, Lorraine served as an Auxiliary Mounted Officer for the New York City Park Enforcement Patrol. She was also invited to join the Harlem Writers Guild. Along with her husband, this mother of three, grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of five currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida.Lorraine's experiences and adventures proved to be fertile ground for this memoir. Her vision is to see this book produced as a film.
