The second book from the series of Patternmaking Techniques ,Haute Couture has the same structure as the first , it is for the advance pattern makers because the transformation are explain to a certain point and then you have to interpret the pattern. When I saw the firsts pictures from the book I was really exited because there was a chapter on historical clothing ,but when receive my copy that chapter was missing . Apparently that chapter is available only for the italian version of the book . even without that chapter the book is incredible an a real challenge even for the experts
Descriere
High fashion unquestionably goes hand-in-hand with sarto- rial and stylistic perfection. A driving force behind the entire fashion and garment industry, it represents the search for new solutions concerning fabrics, style or patterns. In this context, the patternmaker is an essential figure who makes the stylist's ideas a reality.
In this richly illustrated new volume from the Fashion Patternmaking series, the prolific author Antonio Donnanno describes the methods and techniques used in high-fashion for making drapes, frills and flounces, collars, necklines and sleeves, and trousers and skirts, in a detailed, understandable and step-by-step way. This publication com- pletes the series in high-fashion patternmaking, which started with volume 1 and which focused on draping techniques and decorations.
