A story of bush track horse racing and bootleg booze set in Jamestown, N.D. back in 1922. The story follows Hedda Parker as she tries to win enough money to start a farm when her husband gets out of prison for a crime she committed. She receives help from Wink Wynkoop, a reporter for The Jamestown Alert, and a host of other charectors.
