Non-fiction. 15 Years After is a moving portrait of a father looking back 15 years since his son passed away by taking his own life and the role played by mental illness. In trying to come to terms with the profound loss of my then-14 year old son, 15 Years After is part memoir, part self-help advice for others who have suffered similarly from the dark and uncertain pain of profound grief. 15 Years After describes the challenges of my views of the world as I once knew it: my family relationships, my rational style of thinking and my spirituality, and how I discovered new meaning to my way of existence, and ultimately offers hope and resilience to those who have had to walk this never-ending journey.
