Recenzii

Handsome, rich and charming man meets young, naive and inexperienced woman and they go on to have copious amounts of sex before he asks her to sign a contract and agree to be his submissive. Sound familiar? This witty novella offers a tongue-in-cheek account of a young woman's sexual escapades without glossing over every day unpleasantries - from armpit stubble and morning breath to wobbly bums and toilet habits. Refreshingly frank and laugh-out-loud funny, with a host of (often scarily) familiar references, this original book is well worth a read whether you are a fan/critic of the Fifty Shades Trilogy or have managed to avoid jumping on the bandwagon. - * * * * *, Daydreamer "k0505", Undisclosed (Amazon.com) After reading the first book in the Fifty Shades trilogy (and failing to see what all the fuss was about), I read several parodies and spoofs of it, but I have to say that this is my favourite. The plot is almost identical to Fifty Shades apart from one thing; it is bloody hilarious. The comments from the sarcastic subconscious made me laugh so hard I nearly peed myself, while the inner goddess in her 'batty riders' made me snort on the bus. This book will appeal to fans of Fifty Shades with a sense of humour, as well as people who like me, found the original story unbelievable and dull. Even if you haven't been caught up in the Christian Grey whirlwind, I suggest you read this; it's short, entertaining, witty, smutty and in parts very realistic. I've looked for more books by this author and haven't been able to find anything; I really hope that this isn't a one off and that we see more from her, as she certainly made me and the several friends I persuaded to read it laugh out loud. - * * * * *, Jennie Stevenson, London (Amazon.com)
