Notă biografică
Hanny Allston is a peak performance coach with a heritage in assisting trail and ultra-distance runners to reach the pinnacle of their potential. She is also the founding director of Find Your Feet (est. '09), an award-winning business specialising in outdoor retail and trail running tourism. Hanny is an author, keynote speaker and host of The Find Your Feet Podcast where she shares the voices that need to be heard. In 2015 she was awarded the Tasmanian Telstra Young Businesswoman of the Year and in 2018 her business, Find Your Feet, won the Telstra Small & Succeeding Business of the Year. You can find more about her business at www.findyourfeet.com.au and www.findyourfeettours.com.au. Hanny has an elite background in sport. In 2006, Hanny was the first non-European to win a World Orienteering Championship and the only junior athlete to win the senior and junior titles in the same year. Further to this, she is a past winner of both the Melbourne and New Zealand Marathon Championships, podium finisher in the World Skyrunning Series, and is the current race record holder for multiple road, trail and ultra-running events. Hanny has since turned her feet towards thriving on wilder adventures, and has achieved many of the fastest known times on remote trails, such as a ten-hour traverse of the Western Arthurs and an eleven-hour return journey to Federation Peak in South-West Tasmania, and taking just twelve hours to cover the eight-day long Tasmanian South Coast Track. She is truly a creature of the wild, and Hanny's feet are at their happiest in a pair of muddy trail shoes ... exploring. In July 2019 Hanny ran solo for over 700 km across the French Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean Oceans ... in just nineteen days. That story is still to be told! Hanny Allston is an advisor for recreation, tourism and business management on the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Advisory Council, and the youngest ever councillor for the Australian Institute of Company Directors' Tasmanian Council. In 2019 she was nominated for the Australian of the Year Awards. Hanny's personal philosophy stems strongly from her rich life experiences: BE WILDER. PLAY WILDER. PERFORM WILDER.
