Following the U. S. invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, as a result of a retribution for the 9/11 attack, Alex was captured from the terrorist training cell and deported to the American soil. Assuming new identity, he tries to go on with his life, but the demons of the past do not leave him at piece. He finds consolation for pain and bad memories in alcohol, drugs and excessive sex life. He is taunting both God and Devil to come and get him, or set him free. It seems better descending into the depths of Hell than being faced with the demons of the past. In the final attempt to regain his humanity, his choice is to come back to God again, at the high price he is obliged to pay.
