Fine Woodworking's Low Chest of Drawers Plan

This low chest, designed by Michael Pekovich, avoids the "too-boxy" look of the typical dresser. The frame-and-panel construction allows legs to be added, lifting it off the floor for a lighter look. The side-by-side drawer arrangement emphasizes the horizontal lines. Both of these elements make the project more complex. But, with this plan, it's not that difficult because most parts and joinery use consistent dimensions and the construction is broken down into bite-size pieces.
