This book focuses on Finland. The first chapter studies the situation of the Finnish natural product branches. In more detail, the general development, the situation today and future basing on the literature review and interviews about the state of the natural product branches in Finland are the main elements of this chapter. Chapter Two discusses the organisation of new wildlife sanctuaries at the Russian-Finnish borderline. Chapter Three focuses on smart specialisation a concept which is tightly connected with the theme of competence and with the regional process of discovering opportunities for research and innovation.
