First and Foremost

Autor Steve Bruttig
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 2 aug 2017
Do you know how the world began? How the universe began? How life began? You may think you do, but you don't know - not really. Some may believe everything was created in some way (actually most people do). Some may believe in a "spontaneous event" like the Big Bang - many people believe that. But the operative word here is believe. We use words like know, believe, fact and truth, and we sort of use them interchangeably - but they're not the same. What about Creation or Evolution? What do you think? What do you believe? What do you know? Well, this book, First and Foremost, explores all of these topics and sets the stage for much more investigation of truth versus belief versus negotiated truth in a series of non-fiction books to follow. So, open your mind, think, and come along for the ride.

Notă biografică

Steve Bruttig crafted a career from military service, investigative medical science, the business of science management, consulting, and volunteering once he retired. He was also a merchant. In these roles, he observed his surroundings, life, people, science, and the world. A lifelong interest in human behavior and human incivility made him consider how we might change - for the better. Steve noted the pivotal role of truth and how that has been abused. And his faith helped him put it all in perspective. Thus, he began to search and write about what he saw, read or found - hence his first two books, First and Foremost and Green Legs and Man. Today, Steve lives with his wife on a small family farm in rural Nebraska. They have a son, daughter, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.
