When Ashley and Laurent (Larry) played their childhood games, little did they expect that their relationship would blossom into a full-blown romance. Unfortunately, they are separated and years pass before they see each other again. For Ashley, at least, the magic is gone and they go their separate ways. Years later, a young girl appears at Larry's door, announcing, "You're my father."
A series of tragic events follow that have lasting impact on the family life of Larry, his wife Penny and adopted son Moru. Together they face family tragedy after family tragedy, striving for a level of happiness fate seems to deny them.
