For 30 years I have navigated the world's oceans in search of fish. My adventures have taken me to the waters off South Africa and Central America where I speared giant tuna on a breath hold, to the islands off the California coast where I wrestled heavy cod traps in 20 foot swells, and to other Pacific fishing grounds where I racked up boatloads of fish with rod and reel.

After a catastrophic ocean accident nearly took my life and that of four others, I left the dangers of commercial fishing and joined the white-collar world. My degree in business was a good start, but to succeed and build my global company, the knowledge I gained from fishing provided the insight that ultimately gave me an edge.
