Miyamoto Musashi was born 1584 - June 13. At the age of sixty he retired from his life of duels to discover the meaning to his art. The result was "The Book of Five Rings." Millions of copies have been purchased worldwide by everyone from businessmen to martial artists. The wisdom of this book is no doubt useful as a strategy guide to many but there are truly few who can apply its wisdom to their art. This is especially true of those who do not practice the sword but other arts such as Kung Fu or Karate. In this book Sifu Hou San has included commentary discussing how to apply the Book of Five Rings to Kung Fu to hopefully give the reader a direction in understanding their own martial art.
