Autor Gabriela Iancu Editat de Nicole Dabbs
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 14 dec 2015
Taking editorial and book design in a challenging aesthetic direction, Florilegium explores contemporary media in order to cultivate the role of art in everyday life. Florilegium aims to inspire you to discover new voices in the visual arts, read, cook, and celebrate life. Carefully curated to satisfy the curious reader, this contemporary collection of visual arts features an interactive design specifically created for the printed word. The uniqueness of each page entice the reader to explore and be present in the experience. Today's contemporary art scene calls for broader and more flexible definitions and limitations of all media. Thus, Florilegium breaks the rules and redefines the presence of what inspires us the most. Florilegium's first volume focuses on our love of life by curating artistic reflections of the natural and man-made worlds through form and shape. This volume aims to inspire a deeper environmental awareness and serves as a reminder of the issues we face as humankind. Notă biografică

Gabriela Iancu is a Romanian-born multidisciplinary visual artist who focuses on photography, film production, and design. With an M.F.A. in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Gabriela focuses on a multidisciplinary approach: she works with photography, creates books, sculpts, makes short creative films, writes, and designs. Her work addresses food and the natural environment from various historical perspectives, and in 2015 she founded Florilegium, where alongside contributors from around the world, she extended her interest in graphic design, nature and contemporary art to develop a one-of-a-kind visual language.
