Raja Shehadeh is Palestine's leading writer, a lawyer and the founder of Al-Haq. His previous books include the Orwell Prize-winning Palestinian Walks. His latest book, We Could Have Been Friends, My Father and I, was a finalist for the National Book Award 2023.Penny Johnson is a founding member of the Institute of Women's Studies at Birzeit University, a Contributing Editor of the Jerusalem Quarterly and author of Companions in Conflict: Animals in Occupied Palestine.
