Synopsis:This book contains a collection of nineteen essays by Marvin A. Sweeney, some previously unpublished, that focus on the role of literary form and intertextuality in the study of prophetic and apocalyptic literature. Sweeney is Professor of Hebrew Bible at the Claremont School of Theology and Claremont Graduate University. His many publications include Zephaniah: A Commentary, The Prophetic Literature, and 1-2 Kings: A Commentary.
